Mount Escape — Leg Hook Escape

The leg hook escape focuses on destabilizing the top player by using your legs to manipulate their base. The bottom player hooks an opponent’s leg, usually one closest to the defender, and then uses that hook to off-balance them. By shifting weight in combination with the leg hook, the defender can create enough space to slide out from under mount. This method works best when the opponent has a heavy, high mount because the hook can subtly disrupt their balance without requiring explosive bridging.
