Back Escape — Sliding Escape
The Sliding Escape focuses on moving the hips and shoulders laterally to slip out from under the opponent’s control. By gradually creating space while monitoring hook and grip placement, the defender can escape safely without giving up positional advantage.
This technique is particularly useful in competition when overcommitting could lead to submission. It demonstrates the value of controlled, deliberate movement in high-level grappling.
