Neck Guard

A neck guard is protective gear designed to support and cushion the cervical spine during takedowns, scrambles, or heavy top pressure. It reduces strain in high-impact or awkward positions.

Though not common in everyday BJJ practice, neck guards can be valuable for athletes recovering from whiplash or prone to neck injuries. They’re especially useful when cross-training with wrestling or MMA.
