Yuki Nakai

Yuki Nakai (b. 1968) is a Japanese BJJ black belt, MMA pioneer, and president of the Japanese Confederation of Jiu-Jitsu. He gained international recognition for his performances in the 1990s Vale Tudo competitions, including a historic match in which he competed despite severe injury.

Nakai has been instrumental in spreading Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Japan, founding academies and overseeing the development of competitive programs. His career bridges the worlds of traditional grappling and modern MMA in Japan.
