Mark Kerr
Mark Kerr (b. 1968) is an American wrestler and submission grappler who made his mark by winning four ADCC championships. Known as “The Smashing Machine,” Kerr brought raw power, wrestling control, and relentless pressure into the no-gi arena, where he became nearly unbeatable in the late 1990s.
Kerr later transitioned into MMA, competing in PRIDE and the UFC, though with mixed results. His life and career were the subject of the HBO documentary The Smashing Machine, which exposed both the physical and emotional toll of elite competition.
