Ricardo Arona
Ricardo Arona (b. 1978) is a four-time ADCC champion whose physically imposing style helped define early no-gi grappling. With a strong wrestling base and powerful top control, he often overwhelmed opponents with strength and tactical precision.
Arona later transitioned to MMA, competing in PRIDE Fighting Championships against some of the biggest names of his era. His legacy in grappling remains as one of the sport’s most dominant competitors, particularly in the absolute divisions.
