Grip Fighting Drill
Grip fighting drills train athletes to secure dominant grips while breaking or neutralizing the opponent’s control. Practitioners practice grip entries, grip breaks, and grip retention in both gi and no-gi contexts.
Since grips dictate control and tempo in grappling, these drills are essential for establishing offensive strategies. Repeated practice develops hand speed, grip strength, and tactical awareness of when to secure or release contact.
