World Jiu-Jitsu Association (WJJA)

The World Jiu-Jitsu Association (WJJA) promotes BJJ globally with a focus on grassroots development and accessibility. Unlike traditional federations, WJJA emphasizes educational programs, youth engagement, and international collaboration to make BJJ approachable for athletes of all ages and skill levels.

WJJA organizes regional and international tournaments with standardized rules that accommodate gi and no-gi competition. Its events aim to provide opportunities for athletes from emerging BJJ communities to compete on a recognized stage.

Through coaching certifications, referee education, and outreach programs, WJJA supports the growth of BJJ while fostering a sense of community and inclusivity. The association plays a key role in developing athletes who may later compete in IBJJF, ADCC, or other major circuits.
