Checkmat Women’s Team

The Checkmat Women’s Team is the female competitive division of the globally recognized Checkmat organization. Focused on developing elite women grapplers, the team has produced multiple IBJJF and ADCC world champions.

The program emphasizes technical innovation, strategic competition planning, and mentorship. Female athletes are trained in both gi and no-gi disciplines, allowing them to compete at the highest levels of sport BJJ.

Checkmat Women also seeks to inspire and empower women in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, providing visibility, representation, and community support within the traditionally male-dominated sport. Its influence has helped raise the profile of women’s BJJ globally.
