Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship (Pans)
The Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship, known simply as the Pans, is one of the largest IBJJF tournaments held annually in the Americas. Attracting competitors from across the globe, the Pans include divisions for all belt levels, age groups, and weight classes in both gi and no-gi formats.
The event is considered a key stepping stone toward the World Championships, providing athletes with a high-level competitive environment to test their skills. Many top-level grapplers debut new strategies and techniques at the Pans, making it a hub for innovation and tactical experimentation.
Beyond competition, the Pan Ams serve as a cultural and educational gathering, featuring seminars, workshops, and opportunities for networking. The scale and prestige of the event make it a major highlight in the international BJJ calendar.
