The blue belt is often seen as a transitional rank, where students shift from beginner learning to supporting the growth of newer practitioners. Many take on informal leadership roles—helping white belts, drilling responsibly, and reinforcing class culture.

This responsibility deepens their own understanding while building a sense of contribution to the academy.
